Heritage Parquetry flooring restorations of the Commonwealth Bank Building
Built in 1916, this 12-storey building was the first large-scale all steel-framed “skyscraper” in Australia. Known as the “Sydney Bank” within the Commonwealth Bank, it was built to be the headquarters of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, which served as Australia’s central bank.
We Love Parquet performed extensive repairs on nine levels of Jarrah Parquetry flooring from the original build.
This was heritage restoration of the original wood floors, and there are images here of the process.
We Love Parquet are one of the few Parquetry flooring companies that can restore wood floors like this, and we have the experience and understanding to do so.
